Goris is a city in Southern Syunik Province of Armenia. Goris is situated in the valley of Goris River, also known as Vararak River.

The annual precipitation level is 700 mm. It’s also quite difficult to get to Kapan or Meghri. Goris is the last major town in Armenia for travelers continuing to Karabakh. it is 254 km away from the Armenian capital Yerevan.
