Azhdahak mountain range is located in the center of Geghama Mountains, at an elevation of 3,597 m (11,802 ft). Azhdahak is one of the most beautiful mountains in Armenia. Azhdahake third of the height of the Republic of Armenia. At the top of Azhdahak there is a crater filled with water. It arose as a result of volcanic eruptions and lava flow.
From the top of the Azhdahak opens pictorial landscape of mountains Ararat, Hatis, Ara, Aragats, Lake Sevan, the whole Geghama Range and Kotayk valley.
