Aragats is the highest mountain in the mountainous country of Armenia. It is located in the province of Aragatsotn, northwest from Yerevan.

This extinct volcano has formed 4 peaks.
1. The northern peak is 4090m,
2. The western peak is 4080m,
3. The eastern peak is 3916m,
4. Southern peak is 3879m .

Aragats eternal snow coverage is about 6 square kilometers. Mount has a few small glaciers, the largest of which (1.5 square kilometers) from the crater. Qasakh glaciers fed by tributaries Gegharot.
